Job Requirements
- level of knowledge equivalent to less than high school or equivalency
- one month of experience in greenhouse or landscaping or related field
- ability to operate machinery and landscaping equipment
- physical ability to perform manual labor and outdoor work
- availability to work Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- willingness to work weekends as needed
Job Qualifications
- ability to read and understand written instructions
- knowledge of simple processes and routine machine operations
- experience using landscaping tools and equipment
- ability to work independently and in a team
- good physical stamina for outdoor labor
Job Duties
- maintains the grounds including cleaning sidewalks and mowing lawns
- trims trees and shrubs, prunes trees, and trims hedges
- operates equipment such as push mowers, string trimmers, blowers, chain saws, chippers, and stump grinders
- prepares and plants flower beds, seeds lawns, and cares for plants
- removes insects and picks up litter
- secures public safety in emergencies by clearing streets and assisting emergency personnel
- supports funeral services by erecting tents and assisting with grave digging and filling
