Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • ability to work well with others and as part of a team
  • ability to take direction and work independently
  • previous groundskeeper or porter experience helpful but not required
  • the ability to frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs
  • knowledge of general maintenance, make-ready of unit duties including trash out, cleaning and painting
  • housekeeping and cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Clean up trash from around the property dumpsters or trash chutes, always ensuring a clean and tidy appearance
  • clean the pool area and arrange pool furniture
  • maintain cleanliness of the leasing office and all amenity and common areas ensuring general cleanliness of grounds, laundry rooms, walkways, streets, driveways, parking lots, entrances, foyers, breezeways, recreational areas, etc
  • perform exterior building light checks and assist with repairs and replacement of lights
  • complete trash out of vacated apartments designated by supervisor and prepare unit for make-ready
  • complete carpet repairs and clean and shampoo carpet as needed
  • complete minor repairs to walls, doors, wood trim, closets and cabinets and ready for painting
  • report major repair or cleaning problems to management
  • re-key master locks and make keys available for leasing prior to move-in
