Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
- Flexible work schedule including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to travel occasionally to assist other properties or attend training
- Completion of required safety training including OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous groundskeeping or landscaping experience preferred
- Valid driver's license for operation of golf carts on property
- Knowledge of basic safety and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate necessary groundskeeping equipment and tools
Job Duties
- Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times
- Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfer trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and clean and maintain storage areas
- Complete assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by service supervisor and/or community manager, and assist the make-ready specialist in the turn process
- Change all locks in accordance with the property's policy and ensure gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards
- Distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary
- Inform appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests and others
- Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services
