Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of gardening or landscaping experience
- ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds regularly
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to follow safety requirements and procedures
- ability to work weekends and holidays
- ability to work with little supervision

Job Duties
- Digs holes for plants and trees using picks and shovels
- mix fertilizer and dirt in bottom of holes to enrich soil
- place trees and plants in designated areas
- attach wires from planted trees to stakes to support trees
- haul or spread topsoil using wheelbarrow and rake
- water lawns, trees, and plants using portable sprinkler system, hose or watering can
- spread fertilizer or seed to enhance lawn and tree growth
- place decorative flowers in garden area
- mow lawns, trim hedges, trimming lawn edges
- use power equipment to perform job duties
