Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- one year of experience in commercial landscaping
- ability to pass TSA/security background check
- current driver license
- physically able to operate a variety of equipment and machinery including trucks and hand tools
- able to exert force of more than thirty pounds occasionally and up to ten pounds frequently
- able to lift and carry up to one hundred pounds
- physically able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, push, pull, and reach
- ability to work rotating shifts including days, afternoons, graveyards, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- one year of experience in commercial landscaping
- ability to pass TSA/security background check
- current driver license
- experience with essential computer programs including Excel, Office, Teams, and Word
- ability to operate mowers, weed eaters, and various equipment safely and efficiently
- ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- ability to acquire airport Movement Area Driver privileges
Job Duties
- perform daily and periodic inspections of airport grounds
- report all discrepancies to direct supervisor
- perform horticultural maintenance tasks including installing and caring for permanent and seasonal landscape material
- mow grass and remove weeds
- trim trees and shrubbery
- apply fertilizers and herbicides
- work independently or within a team environment
- operate machinery such as pick-up truck, backhoe, dump truck, tractor, bulldozer, bush-hog mower, box-blade, snowplow, broom truck, edger, weed-eater, chainsaws, lawn mower, cherry picker, and bucket truck
- plow, sweep, and blow snow from runways, taxiways, and apron areas
- ensure compliance with FAA Part 139 and airport rules and regulations
- communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- perform pavement crack sealing and apply herbicides as needed
- prevent landslide erosion by maintaining clean ditches and drain outlets
- perform parking lot and roadway maintenance including sweeping, debris removal, and repair
- operate forklift, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
- perform minor irrigation repairs and backflow testing
- be subject to 24-hour call back for operational needs
- support company culture and values of respect, integrity, dedication, and attitude
