Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major or 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major
  • 3 years experience in landscaping or grounds management or 1 year work experience with a 4-year degree
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to manage teams and coordinate tasks effectively
  • knowledge of pest control and irrigation systems
  • experience with safety regulations and compliance
  • excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • ability to handle multiple priorities
  • valid work authorization

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or related major with 3 years experience in landscaping or grounds management
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or related major with 1 year of relevant work experience
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • experience in turf management and golf course maintenance
  • knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance
  • ability to manage budgets and inventory
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency in new technologies and equipment related to grounds maintenance

Job Duties

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of golf course maintenance employees
  • manages day-to-day operations including fertilizing, irrigating, seeding, mowing and spraying
  • ensures all tees, greens, fairways and rough meet required standards
  • communicates regularly with golf professional staff and tournament coordinators
  • manages inventory, equipment maintenance, and cost control
  • develops and enforces safety procedures and ensures regulatory compliance
  • leads team building, training, and performance management
  • fosters exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
  • manages human resource activities including hiring, training, and disciplinary procedures
  • analyzes operational data to solve problems and implement improvements
