Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months of customer service or airline operations experience
  • Ability to lead, direct and motivate teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid unexpired driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
  • Basic math skills
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in English
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service or airline operations experience
  • Ability to lead, direct and motivate teams for optimum performance
  • Strong active listening and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, US territory or the District of Columbia
  • Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience
  • Preferred previous leadership experience

Job Duties

  • Leads the Ground Service Agents on shift and is responsible for the success of a team’s ability to achieve the mutually established goals of Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines
  • Ensures that the Ground Service Agents follow proper procedures
  • Performs leadership duties such as assigning flights for the day, scheduling and managing agents on a week to week basis
  • Performs clerical functions, reports and assists with unexpected passenger needs or complaints
  • Performs Ground Service Agent duties
  • Monitors and enforces safety standards
  • Facilitates team communication and resolves conflicts
