Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years prior experience operating Class A vehicles with HazMat
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement required
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screenings
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work any day or time including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to be on call after hours and handle emergency calls
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access if required
  • Must be able to obtain National Agency Check (NAC)
  • Familiarity with military vehicles and Air Force systems is strongly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of experience operating Class A vehicles with HazMat
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement
  • CCAF A.A.S. Transportation degree preferred
  • Proficient with PC functions and software
  • Knowledge of Online Vehicle Interactive Management System and Management Internal Control Toolkit
  • Understanding of Air Force policies regarding licensing, training, and forms
  • Skilled in Microsoft Windows applications, Word, Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret testing material
  • Capable of conducting training sessions for individuals and groups
  • Strong confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Serve as Tinker's sole certification authority for commercial drivers in tractor/trailer, bus, and fuel tanker categories
  • Administer written and hands-on performance exams to drivers
  • Safeguard exam material related to Air Force Instruction 24-301
  • Comply with AFQTP 24-3-200 operational procedures
  • Develop and administer curriculum and testing materials for ground transportation training, validation, and operations
  • Prepare, analyze, and validate operations and licensing reports for audits and compliance
  • Assist Ground Transportation Manager in their absence and with administrative functions
  • May serve as Nuclear Certified Equipment program manager for PCSI fleet
  • Attend meetings and training sessions on and off base
  • Provide training to PCSI employees on licensing, dispatch, vehicle operation, and safety
  • Act as vehicle trainer and non-licensing certifier for licensed PCSI employees
  • Manage Airfield Driving Program providing flight line training to PCSI employees
  • Conduct briefings for Vehicle Control Officials and customers
  • Create, change, or update employee schedules to accommodate testing and training
