Job Requirements

  • lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis
  • carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
  • work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises
  • be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • possess a high school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent
  • possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 10-year extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check
  • if applying at San Francisco (SFO), proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 with a CDC recognized vaccine is required

Job Duties

  • be actively involved with all ramp team duties (plane talks, baggage/cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating GSE around aircraft, etc.)
  • delegate the work of ramp team members on your shift to ensure flights depart on time
  • be responsible for conducting on-the-job training and coaching for new team members
  • complete safety-critical paperwork for each flight, including baggage counts, load counts, and passenger counts as needed and/or assigned
  • observe and enforce all ATS and airline safety regulations and company policies
  • assure that all GSE maintenance procedures are completed on each shift
