Job Requirements

  • physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly
  • ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • capability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
  • willingness to work outside in all types of weather and noisy environments
  • flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent
  • possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 10-year extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check
  • if applying at San Francisco (SFO), provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 with a CDC-recognized vaccine

Job Duties

  • be actively involved with all ramp team duties including plane talks, baggage and cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating ground support equipment (GSE) around aircraft
  • delegate the work of ramp team members on your shift to ensure flights depart on time
  • be responsible for conducting on-the-job training and coaching for new team members
  • complete safety-critical paperwork for each flight including baggage counts, load counts, and passenger counts as needed and/or assigned
  • observe and enforce all ATS and airline safety regulations and company policies
  • assure that all GSE maintenance procedures are completed on each shift
