Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • at least 18 years old
  • one year of customer service or sales experience
  • complete fluency in English
  • able to follow safety guidelines
  • able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and 70-100 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • able to obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • pass a ten-year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • legally eligible to work in the US
  • able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • able to communicate effectively using radios
  • able to perform under pressure and within time constraints
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • able to travel occasionally for training or assignments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year of customer service or sales experience
  • fluency in written and spoken English
  • ability to use handheld radios and communicate clearly
  • able to work in all weather conditions
  • available for flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting insurance standards
  • ability to obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • pass a ten-year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • legal authorization to work in the US
  • positive and good-natured attitude
  • able to perform physical tasks involving lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is preferred
  • bilingual skills and previous airline experience are advantageous

Job Duties

  • Operate ground service equipment including motor vehicles, tugs, and de-icing equipment
  • service aircraft by operating potable water trucks, ground power units, lavatory trucks, deicing trucks, and pushback equipment
  • work in a ramp environment
  • tag, lift, load and unload customer bags weighing over 100 lbs from aircraft and baggage systems
  • operate external aircraft equipment
  • prepare aircraft cabin for boarding by cleaning seats, floors, galleys, and lavatories
  • assist customers with special needs including boarding assistance
  • guide aircraft to and from parking locations
  • communicate effectively using handheld radios
  • assist with loading and unloading mail, small packages, and human remains
  • maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety standards
  • perform other duties as assigned
