Job Requirements
- physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 70 pounds regularly
- ability to carry heavy items up and down narrow jetway stairs
- ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
- able to work in cramped or high places
- alert to moving vehicles and aircraft
- effective communication using radio equipment
- able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and noisy environments
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- authorization to work in the United States or Canada as applicable
- complete ramp and SIDA training for airport security identification
- ability to secure Customs Seal if required
- preferred one or more years of airline ramp experience
Job Duties
- coordinate delivery of aircraft service functions including de-icing, lavatory dumping, and refueling
- determine proper aircraft load factors with airline operations department
- verify and sign off on aircraft services for billing purposes
- perform routine administrative duties such as equipment inspections and ramp area maintenance
- serve as liaison with airline customers, pilots, and AGI operations
- assist and direct ramp agents with ground handling duties
- ensure compliance with safety, health, and security procedures
