Job Requirements

  • physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 70 pounds regularly
  • ability to carry heavy items up and down narrow jetway stairs
  • ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
  • able to work in cramped or high places
  • alert to moving vehicles and aircraft
  • effective communication using radio equipment
  • able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and noisy environments

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • authorization to work in the United States or Canada as applicable
  • complete ramp and SIDA training for airport security identification
  • ability to secure Customs Seal if required
  • preferred one or more years of airline ramp experience

Job Duties

  • coordinate delivery of aircraft service functions including de-icing, lavatory dumping, and refueling
  • determine proper aircraft load factors with airline operations department
  • verify and sign off on aircraft services for billing purposes
  • perform routine administrative duties such as equipment inspections and ramp area maintenance
  • serve as liaison with airline customers, pilots, and AGI operations
  • assist and direct ramp agents with ground handling duties
  • ensure compliance with safety, health, and security procedures
