Job Requirements

  • Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, push, and move items up to 70 pounds regularly
  • Ability to carry heavy items up and down narrow jetway stairs
  • Capacity to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
  • Capability to work in cramped or elevated locations
  • Alertness to moving vehicles and aircraft
  • Proficiency in using radio equipment to communicate with crew and authorities
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and noisy environments

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Have authorization to work in the United States or Canada as applicable
  • Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport security identification
  • Ability to secure Customs Seal if required
  • Preferred one or more years of airline ramp experience

Job Duties

  • Coordinate the delivery of aircraft service functions including de-icing, lavatory dumping, and refueling
  • Determine aircraft load factors with the airline operations department
  • Verify and sign off on aircraft services for billing
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as equipment inspections and ramp cleanliness
  • Serve as liaison with airline customers, pilots, and AGI operations
  • Direct and assist ramp agents with ground handling duties
  • Comply with company safety, health, and security policies and procedures
