Job Requirements
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, push, and move items up to 70 pounds regularly
- Ability to carry heavy items up and down narrow jetway stairs
- Capacity to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
- Capability to work in cramped or elevated locations
- Alertness to moving vehicles and aircraft
- Proficiency in using radio equipment to communicate with crew and authorities
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and noisy environments
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Have authorization to work in the United States or Canada as applicable
- Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport security identification
- Ability to secure Customs Seal if required
- Preferred one or more years of airline ramp experience
Job Duties
- Coordinate the delivery of aircraft service functions including de-icing, lavatory dumping, and refueling
- Determine aircraft load factors with the airline operations department
- Verify and sign off on aircraft services for billing
- Perform routine administrative duties such as equipment inspections and ramp cleanliness
- Serve as liaison with airline customers, pilots, and AGI operations
- Direct and assist ramp agents with ground handling duties
- Comply with company safety, health, and security policies and procedures
