Job Requirements

- Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to determine ability to perform required tasks

- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
- Willingness to work fixed and/or rotating schedules including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Satisfactory score on entry tests determining ability to perform required tasks
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information found in technical documents, manuals, and schematics
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and coordination with Delta personnel and outside vendors
- Ability to respond to customer needs with minimum direction in time-sensitive situations
- Completion of a two-year degree at a post-secondary technical school or related military experience
Job Duties
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on passenger loading bridges including interior and exterior components
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, remove and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Maintain air handler hoses, adapters, air filters, condensate pans, and indicator bulbs
- Manage gear boxes, bearings, shafts, roller replacements, belt re-lacing, and belt replacements
- Operate and maintain baggage handling system (BHS) control rooms and reconcile bag jams
- Service ground power cables and associated clamping and saddles
- Conduct small component repair and assembly on specialized equipment such as air conditioning adapters and dock light controllers
- Report all identified equipment issues to Ground Support Equipment supervision
