Job Requirements
- Must be able to work shift work and overtime as required
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds overhead
- Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and/or ladders
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top or under the device
- Must be able to detect odors or hear noises to detect simulator functioning problems
- Must be able to distinguish colors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Working knowledge of C-130 aircraft maintenance operations
- 5-skill level C-130 maintenance experience
- Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance
- Experience operating material handling equipment
- Knowledge of aircraft systems principles, maintenance directives, technical data usage, Air Force supply procedures, and hazardous materials handling
- Basic communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents
- Basic math skills including the ability to calculate proportions, fractions, percentages, and ratios
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
- Ability to receive and maintain a flight line driver’s license
Job Duties
- Advise on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting C-130 aircraft
- Serve as a liaison to the US Air Force maintenance personnel
- Assist the C-130 ATS student training, including preflight training and aircraft loading/unloading training
- Assist flight engineers during all phases of -1 preflight training
- Operate/Drive required material handling equipment as required
- Assist aircraft loading and unloading
