Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • grocery or warehouse clerk experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods typically 8-hour shifts
  • ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching bending stooping squatting and handling products
  • ability to climb ladders to perform warehouse tasks at elevated heights
  • willingness to work varying hours including weekends evenings and holidays
  • ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
  • adherence to safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • ability to maintain clear communication with customers and team members
  • ability to move quickly and efficiently to assist customers and manage workload
  • physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills such as using tools or handling small objects

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • grocery or warehouse clerk experience preferred
  • understanding of inventory systems and procedures
  • familiarity with standard warehouse practices safety protocols and equipment
  • awareness of grocery products and categories to handle and store items correctly
  • knowledge of OSHA guidelines and other relevant health and safety regulations
  • proficiency in using inventory management software barcode scanners and other warehouse technologies
  • effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with other staff and managing documentation

Job Duties

  • Place and manage orders for store merchandise ensuring timely and accurate procurement of items
  • verify and track orders from suppliers ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • maintain relationships with suppliers and salespeople to ensure optimal order fulfillment
  • oversee department standards maintain accurate stock levels proper codes and good rotation of items
  • verify invoices for accurate billing and maintain inventory control
  • monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts and adjust orders accordingly
  • review all DSD deliveries to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods
  • follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment including using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly
  • operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and barcode scanners safely and efficiently
  • monitor for and report any theft damage or loss of inventory and take steps to minimize shrinkage
  • monitor store conditions and report areas of concern to store management promptly
  • perform other duties as assigned
