Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years previous supervisory kitchen, restaurant, food service, grocery or retail management experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week including varying shifts and occasional six-day workweeks
- Must be 18 years or older
- ServSafe Food Manager and Allergen Certifications
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Ability to travel occasionally for offsite meetings
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years previous supervisory kitchen, restaurant, food service, grocery or retail management experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Experience in menu development, catering, production management and good manufacturing practices preferred but not required
- Knowledge of storage and safe handling practices
- Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week including varying shifts and occasional six-day workweeks
- Ability to travel occasionally for offsite meetings
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor degree in Culinary, Business, or related field preferred
- ServSafe Food Manager and Allergen Certifications
- HACCP or PCQI Certification preferred but not required
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish highly preferred but not required
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Job Duties
- Oversee and direct procurement, production, and service of food to stores to achieve financial and non-financial objectives including sales, labor, shrink, general expenses and earnings, and other key performance measurements
- Assist in developing capital and operational budget for the commissary while monitoring, managing, and controlling budget, analyzing variances and taking appropriate action and developing plans for productivity improvements
- Participate in and oversee daily food production, working various positions in production as a team leader, communicating daily with employees about objectives and performance
- Execute seasonal menus based on sales data, industry trends and staff feedback to recommend item offerings
- Manage food safety and quality systems in accordance with the corporate Food Safety Program including HACCP, staff training, traceability, cleaning and sanitation, good manufacturing practices, environmental monitoring, recall execution, product complaint investigation and pest control
- Perform internal and support external audits ensuring ongoing compliance with corporate Food Safety Program and regulatory expectations
- Interview, hire, orientate, train and retain staff by mentoring, motivating and developing others and serving as a role model and resource
