Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- cooking experience or culinary apprenticeship program preferred, but training provided if needed
- strong communication skills
- ability to pass background check and drug screening
- ability to obtain and maintain required licenses or certificates
- physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and handle up to 50 pounds
- ability to work varying schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call status
- obtain local food handler card after hire
Job Qualifications

- cooking experience or culinary/apprenticeship program preferred but not required
- strong written and oral communication skills
- ability to read, write and interpret instructions and recipes
- basic math skills for measurements and portion control
- ability to pass background check and drug screening
- ability to obtain and maintain required licenses or certificates
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
Job Duties
- Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances
- set up, maintain, and control quality and presentation consistency of all food and menu items
- prepare food in accordance with standard recipes and guest specifications
- visually inspect and select fresh, quality food items
- check and control proper storage and portion control, especially of high-cost meat and fish
- keep refrigeration, storage, and working areas clean to comply with health and OSHA regulations
- follow ServSafe and HACCP guidelines for food safety
- ensure kitchen equipment is clean and functioning
- prepare requisitions for supplies and process paperwork timely
- maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards using approved procedures
- assist executive chef and kitchen management as directed
- perform other duties requested by supervisor
- understand and comply with Eye, Hi, Goodbye program
- maintain regular attendance
- work varying schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
