Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- No prior experience required but prior hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Obtain a local food handler’s permit
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Combination of education, training or experience related to hospitality
- Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Additional language skills preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to adapt to fast paced and changing environment
- Capable of operating kitchen and cleaning equipment
- Understanding of safety and sanitary procedures
- Team player with customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances
- Transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware to support kitchen and dining staff
- Clean physical surroundings and maintain hygiene standards
- Sort, wash, and properly store soiled service ware
- Operate burnishing machine and maintain dishwashing equipment
- Learn and maintain knowledge of service ware
- Read and understand job-related instructions in English
- Transport heavy objects safely through crowded areas
- Perform general cleaning tasks and manage spills
- Move supplies and equipment as needed
- Report suspicious persons or activities to supervisors
- Perform other duties including cross training
- Comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program
- Maintain regular attendance and adapt to varying schedules
