Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service environments
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
  • Experience working in hot kitchens
  • Experience with charcoal grills plus but not necessary
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and proper sanitation procedures
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous experience in catering or large-scale food service is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to various shifts or scheduling needs related to the restaurant's operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare orders in a timely manner
  • Set up station, grill proteins on a charcoal grill, manage station inventory and clean / wash down work area before exiting shift
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as dicing onions, cilantro, and other mis en place for your position as well as assembling order items efficiently and with attention to detail
  • Carefully crafting menu items with care and passion for each item that is sent out to guests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to maintain hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with catering events or special functions as needed, providing high-quality culinary service
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or needs
