Job Requirements
- Illinois Food Handler Certification required
- Must possess basic knife skills
- Must have outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency

- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays

Job Duties
- Sets up and breaks down station as per production sheet
- Grills and sautés foods such as steaks, seafood, chicken, pork, and pastas
- Creates pan sauces and seasonal vegetables
- Receives, communicates and organizes all tickets with team members ensuring proper timing of food execution
- Keeps an open line of communication with the expediter to ensure food is prepared and served with accuracy
- Cooks the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously
- Restocks station and meets or exceeds assigned prep lists on a daily basis
- Maintains a high degree of sanitation in work station
- Keeps food area free of debris and trash at all times
- Reports to work on time
- Communicates with Sous Chef regarding product shortages
- Breaks down and stores daily food and supply deliveries
- Assists in monitoring products in freezer, walk-ins, and storerooms to ensure freshness and availability
- Ensures proper FIFO procedures when storing daily deliveries
- Monitors food items, checks food temperatures, and changes items when necessary
- Assists in quality control of prepared food items
- Ensures thorough communication between shifts
- Prepares and executes recipes and production sheets per standardized recipe cards or supervisor guidelines
- Complies with all departmental rules, side work assignments, and procedures
- Ensures prompt, professional and courteous treatment of all guests
- Gives excellent guest service and proactively seeks ways to improve service
- Performs all other duties as assigned
