Job Requirements
- Grill cook experience preferred
- ability to work full time Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 2:00 pm
- ability to perform essential functions of the position
- willingness to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy items
- legal authorization to work in the United States
- willingness to participate in training and safety meetings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior grill cook experience preferred
- ability to follow approved recipes and maintain portion control
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
- completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
- serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service
- ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- tastes all prepared food items to maintain quality
- uses established ticket-collection procedures during service
- responsible for records from area worked during service periods
- uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control
- carries pans, kettles, and trays of food safely
- stores foods following food safety and rotation procedures
- cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils
- resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisor
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- performs other duties as assigned
