Job Requirements

  • One year of prior grill cook experience
  • ability to work full-time with varying schedules including rotating weekends
  • willingness to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to carry pans, trays, and kettles
  • capability to resolve customer concerns
  • availability to attend safety meetings
  • ability to perform physical tasks safely
  • ability to work well with others

Job Qualifications

  • One year of prior grill cook experience
  • ability to follow recipes and production standards
  • capability to maintain quality and portion control
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment
  • basic food safety knowledge
  • good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
  • completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
  • serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service
  • ensures food is at correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • tastes all prepared food items
  • uses established ticket-collection procedures
  • maintains records from area worked during service periods
  • uses approved recipes and production standards for quality, serving temperatures, and portion control
  • carries pans, kettles, and trays of food safely
  • stores foods properly following standard wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisor
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • performs other duties as assigned
