Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Ability to stand for entire shift and walk long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Verbal communication skills
  • Visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant including selling floor, stock, and register areas
  • Willingness to comply with updated safety and sanitation procedures according to CDC, local, and state guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for extended periods
  • Strong menu knowledge
  • Ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets
  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Capable of working well within a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare each order by following company recipes, carryout procedures, and plating standards
  • Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
  • Prepare visually appealing meals in a timely manner delivering hot and fresh meals
  • Follow recipes and storyboards to cook meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, and other foods according to the Bob Evans recipe book
  • Use approved cooking equipment and methods to deliver high quality meals
  • Practice and uphold health and sanitation standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene
  • Comply consistently with portion sizes, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Prioritize food preparation to finish all items for each order simultaneously
  • Properly maintain and operate kitchen equipment
  • Assist in other job categories as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
