Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Minimum six months cooking experience in a restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English
- Flexibility to work on-call, with varying days and hours including weekends
- Must uphold Kaiser Permanente policies and food safety standards
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members and maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Minimum six months cooks experience in a restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service using standard equipment such as grill, oven, fryer
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Preferred culinary arts degree or associate’s degree in institutional food preparation
- Preferred experience as a line cook in high service volume settings
Job Duties
- Prepare food to order using grill, BBQ and fryer equipment following department safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain grill, filters, and oils including cleaning interior and exterior of grill reservoir
- Clean and sanitize cooking utensils and food service work areas
- Observe proper food handling and hygiene standards according to local, state, and federal regulations
- Support compliance with Kaiser Permanente's policies and principles including maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity
- Establish and maintain courteous and cooperative relations with members, staff, and co-workers
- Perform other duties as required
