Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with overnight hours or grill cook required
  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification before first day of work for Utah and Idaho states
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Understanding of safe food handling
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy items, tolerate temperature extremes
  • Ability to use commercial kitchen equipment preferred
  • Customer service skills preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required in Utah and Idaho
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, understand workflows, and meet deadlines
  • Preferred experience in preparing modified diets
  • Preferred experience with commercial cooking equipment
  • Customer service skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and instructions
  • Serve customers across various venues including catering, retail outlets, and patient care
  • Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
  • Manage proper food quantities with appropriate product rotation
  • Prepare bulk food items, large-scale productions, specialty meals, and catered items
  • Deliver patient meals, cashier, stock supplies, and operate ware-washing machines as required
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to provide exceptional service
