Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience
- Flexible to work rotating shifts including every other weekend
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- Capability to assist in dish room and food preparation tasks
- Willingness to adhere to hospital dietary standards and policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- At least 1 year of cooking experience in a professional setting
- Preferred 2-4 years of related culinary experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary restrictions
- Ability to work flexible rotating shifts including weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals for patients according to daily menu and production sheets
- Plan daily menus accommodating special dietary restrictions
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals including salads, sandwiches, and desserts
- Assist in dish room and adhere to proper ware washing procedures
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations including wearing clean uniforms, gloves, and hairnets
- Coordinate with dietary staff and management for smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment
