Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and write in order to communicate and give instructions to patients
  • No prior work experience required
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands
  • Manual dexterity

  • Capability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally

Job Duties

  • Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assists patients in and out of vehicles safely
  • Directs patients and visitors to appropriate departments and answers questions accurately
  • Works harmoniously with volunteers and medical personnel to ensure a steady supply of wheelchairs at front doors
  • Maintains assigned entrances in a clean and orderly manner
  • Participates in personnel development activities and required training
  • Adapts behavior to meet the specific patient population's needs including respect for privacy and communication style
  • Performs other related duties as required
