Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in relevant field
- 4-8 years of experience in facility and sports management
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Experience in budget management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driver's license
- Passion for community service and sports management
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of facility and sports management experience or a closely related field
- Associate's degree with 6-8 years of facility and sports management experience or a closely related field
- Experience supervising staff for 2 or more years
- Experience with budget development and monitoring
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid Driver's License
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Parks and Recreation Management, Exercise Sport Science, Sports Management, Business Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field preferred
- Experience using recreation or event management software such as RecTrac preferred
- Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP certification) preferred
- Valid First-Aid and CPR/AED certification preferred
Job Duties
- Directs and supervises overall operations, programming, and processes at the Greensboro Sportsplex facility
- Manages operating budgets, expenditures, and revenue collection
- Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises benefited, roster, and seasonal staff
- Performs general and specialized site and event supervision
- Manages large-scale competitive athletic events and tournaments
- Coordinates facility maintenance and improvement plans
- Markets and promotes the facility to community and outside groups at amateur and collegiate levels
- Generates and administers short- and long-term performance contracts for programs and events
- Coordinates marketing, promotions, and program plans
- Handles incident resolution and risk management
- Assesses community demand and develops new in-house and contracted sports programming and events
