Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience
- At least 3 years’ management experience in food and beverage service
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to work in extreme temperature conditions and noise
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in food and beverage service industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- General knowledge of Health Department requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Friendly and welcoming customer service approach
Job Duties
- Maintain on the floor presence during all meal services and special events to directly oversee staff and engage with members
- Promptly and graciously greet members and guests
- Recruit, train, counsel, and supervise food and beverage staff including seasonal support
- Manage and supervise staff to ensure proper service
- Perform server and bartender duties when necessary
- Schedule staff at Snack Bar, Beverage Cart, and Grille Room according to needs and budget
- Execute the Club’s food and beverage training program and ensure comprehensive ongoing staff training
- Manage ordering of alcoholic beverages, maintain liquor pour costs, implement recipes and retail pricing
- Complete end-of-month inventories and follow administrative processes
- Ensure payroll procedures meet labor expense administration and allocation standards
- Oversee side-work and cleaning of equipment and storage areas according to schedule
- Serve as liaison between service staff and kitchen staff
- Strengthen business relationships with vendors to promote new products and special events
- Ensure all customer billing is accurate and assist with member function billing
- Conduct pre-shift meetings covering menu, service standards, membership updates, and policies
- Receive and resolve complaints concerning food, beverage, and service
- Assist with setup and execution of private parties and Club events
- Ensure proper security and lockup of all areas at day’s end
- Actively participate in staff meetings
- Ensure food and beverage staff are presentable, well-groomed, and in uniform
- Attend approved seminars, workshops, and meetings to stay current in the field
- Perform additional duties as assigned
