Job Requirements

  • enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
  • retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
  • maintain good financial and academic standing with the University
  • must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays up to 20 hours a week
  • maintain regular and consistent attendance
  • ability to memorize and recall recipes
  • ability to understand and carry out instructions
  • ability to perform various tasks within the shop in a timely manner

Job Duties

  • provides quality, made-to-order beverages for all customers in a timely manner while following all health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ensures exceptional customer service by constantly being aware of customer needs and exceeding their expectations
  • follows operational policies and procedures including cash handling and drink making
  • promotes GCBC and Grand Canyon University culture, values, and mission
  • helps maintain a clean and organized environment alongside team members
  • maintains calm and appropriate character during high volume and high stress periods while upholding customer service standards
  • anticipates shop needs and acts accordingly to meet customer and shop needs
  • communicates necessary information to Shift Leads and Managers
  • contributes to a positive team environment
  • maintains regular and consistent attendance
