Job Requirements

  • minimum of 16 years of age
  • previous cashiering experience preferred
  • ability to perform simple reading, math, and writing tasks
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical capability to stand, walk, balance frequently and occasionally bend
  • ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 10lbs
  • capable of repetitive hand use and grasping motions
  • visual acuity including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision

Job Qualifications

  • previous cashiering experience is preferred
  • ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills
  • coordination, supervising, following instructions, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making
  • flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
  • must be a minimum of 16 years of age

Job Duties

  • greet and seat guests by utilizing department greeting and steps of service
  • manage reservations including calling and confirming upcoming reservations
  • manage waitlist by providing accurate wait time estimates
  • address guest inquires
  • receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, and room charges and comp slips
  • make changes as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed to accurately balance all monetary transactions
  • make deposits/cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure bank
  • interact with team members and guests in a professional and polite manner including complaints and concerns are effectively handled
  • communicate special requests with management, service staff, and culinary team
  • assist the support team to turn tables faster by resetting them quickly and efficiently
  • take to-go orders and assure the orders are packed with the required condiments
  • support and maintain Grand Sierra Resort guest service guidelines and other policies and procedures
  • help maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
  • any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
