Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21
  • Previous restaurant server experience or related education/training
  • Must obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, balance frequently during shifts
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs frequently
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and use hand coordination
  • Understanding of applicable alcohol service laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant server experience
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of menu products
  • Superior knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in regard to alcohol service
  • Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and refill ice and beer bins
  • Knowledge of dish room operations including separating silverware, dishes, and glassware
  • Ability to follow instructions, memorize, problem solve, and make independent judgments
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to perform simple reading, math, writing and task completion

Job Duties

  • Take beverage and food orders from restaurant guests and input orders into POS system
  • Deliver orders following required standards for the position
  • Prepare tableside items if applicable and anticipate guest’s needs
  • Complete all side work including wiping down stations, re-stocking supplies, polishing silverware, buffing glasses, setting up service cart, etc. to prepare tables and stations
  • Breakdown stations, carts and tables at close of restaurant
  • Explain menu to the guests and answer any questions they may have
  • Memorize the menu and specials to recommend dishes and beverage pairings
  • Always check on quality of food and service to ensure excellent guest service
  • Provide timely table maintenance to ensure inviting dining experience for guests
  • Assist the busser/runner with any required tasks including table setup, pre-bussing, delivering food
  • Assist management and host team to set up and rearrange dining area for larger groups and special events
  • Adhere to company established SOPs in regard to paperwork, cash, and auditing
  • Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
