Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification required or in progress
Job Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ yrs experience with traffic engineering principles and software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic GIS tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Ability to build strong relationships
Job Duties
- Designs and develops traffic signal plans including signal layouts, phasing, timing, and coordination to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists
- Assist in conducting traffic impact studies, signal warrant analyses, and corridor evaluations
- Collect, process, and analyze traffic data including volume counts, speed studies, and crash data
- Support the development of traffic models using tools such as Synchro, HCS, and VISSIM
- Prepare technical reports, figures, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Conduct field visits and site assessments as needed
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to support project delivery
