Job Requirements
- Be admitted to a graduate degree seeking program at GCU
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Be enrolled in as a regular (not provisional) degree-seeking student for at least 6 graduate level units leading to the degree
- Uphold the university's student code of conduct
- Availability to work up to 29 hours per week
- Commitment to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to work in person at GCU's main campus in Phoenix, Arizona
Job Qualifications
- Be admitted to a graduate degree-seeking program at GCU
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (if a student is newly admitted to the university, the admission GPA is considered for this requirement)
- Be enrolled as a regular (not provisional) degree-seeking student for at least 6 graduate level units leading to the degree (undergraduate or audited courses do not satisfy this requirement)
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during employment
- Have the ability to uphold the university's student code of conduct
- Ability to work up to 29 hours per week
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of tasks which may include event planning and development, setup and teardown, location supervision and managing, and data entry and analysis
- Oversee Thunderground alongside the Thunderground and Riverbed Manager and student workers and attend most, if not all, events and meetings taking place in Thunderground
- Participate in the planning and implementation of professional development opportunities for Thunderground student workers and other staff
- May be held responsible for planning and organizing the activities of an assigned event, program, project, and ensuring the activities' infrastructure is in place
- Be the lead, and schedule event plans in accordance with specifications and funding limitation
- oversee daily operations and coordinate activities of specific programs and determine priorities
- Partner and collaborate with various internal contacts or customers to coordinate activities, promote and encourage cooperation of submission or collection of information, data, products or services or process improvement
- Review office needs and expectations and determine most effective means of execution of specific duties to ensure goals are met in a timely fashion
- Assist in daily operations of Thunderground
- supervise the Thunderground outside of normal business hours, including late nights and weekends
