Job Requirements
- 18 plus years old
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- food handlers certificate (ServSafe or ANSI compliant organization)
- beginner knowledge of cheeses including cutting production and taste description
- ability to follow directions and established procedures with attention to detail
- ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in a fast paced evolving environment
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- clear and effective communication style both written and verbal
- team-player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
- basic math skills
- conversational English skills required when working with customers

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service
- address the needs of customers
- answer their questions in a timely and effective manner
- acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of products and services offered
- describe flavor profiles of cheeses to customers including food pairings
- take orders with attention to detail
- communicate and consult with Gourmet Cheese Manager and Assistant Manager on special order capabilities and production requirements
- assist with packaging pricing and merchandising department products
- maintain display cases ensuring cleanliness stock and accurate signage
- maintain a safe and organized warehouse and back of house cooler
- process deliveries as required
- organize rotate and stock workstation and department supplies
- clean and sanitize work areas utensils and equipment
- operate equipment such as price scale and vacuum sealer
- answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- follow and comply with established procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices
- immediately report safety hazards and violations to supervisors
- perform opening mid and closing duties as assigned
- work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
