Cordova Golf Course is a well-established recreational facility operating under the Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD), an independent special district governed by an elected Board of Directors. Since its inception in 1958, CRPD has been committed to providing high-quality recreational programs, parks, and services throughout a diverse and growing region. Job Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities
- Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds

- Ability to handle cash and perform money counting procedures

- Must successfully complete pre-employment requirements including fingerprinting, background check, tuberculosis screening, physical examination, drug screening, and verification of eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Formal or informal education or training that ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
- Basic office procedures, methods, and equipment including basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Cash handling and money counting procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to assist in maintaining a clean and efficient pro shop area for all staff
- Ability to learn policies, rules, and regulations of the golf course and District
- Ability to handle money
- Ability to use strong customer service and interpersonal skills during public contact
- Ability to make frequent decisions and maintain concentration with distractions
- Ability to operate office and cleaning equipment including computers, digital safes, vacuums, and dusters
- Ability to work independently under stressful situations
- Ability to maintain records and files
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Ability to work a varied schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Operate the pro shop in the highest professional manner
- Use a point-of-sale computer/register to collect payments for green fees, range balls, power carts and merchandise
- Call golfers to the tee and ensure that golfers paid for their rounds and tee off at their scheduled time
- Distribute rental equipment such as power/push carts, clubs and driving range balls
- Monitor the driving range to ensure proper use
- Remove golf balls from the driving range as assigned
- Clean golf balls and return golf balls to the ball dispenser
- Clean golf carts and ensure carts are charged for use
- Display and sell merchandise as directed
- Prepare and maintain accurate program records and other records as needed
- Act as Department representative to local residents, community groups, private businesses, and others regarding questions, problems, concerns, and activities in the provision of golf and recreation programs and facility operations
- Provide information within the area of assignment
- Resolve complaints or refer to higher level staff
- Attend all trainings when provided
- Perform related duties as required
