Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- previous golf course experience
- ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling, repetitive motions, continuous standing and walking
- ability to work in varying weather conditions
- ability to safely valet vehicles
- good interpersonal and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous golf course experience
- knowledge of the game of golf and its rules
- knowledge of applicable industry software programs preferred
- member of PGA or PGA Apprentice program preferred
- previous valet and or caddie experience preferred
Job Duties
- Displays a professional appearance and attitude
- remains courteous to members and guests at all times
- safely valets member and guest vehicles as needed
- brings golf carts from cart shelter to golf cart staging area, checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations
- loads bags from bag storage room onto golf carts
- sets up and breaks down practice areas on a daily basis
- transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers
- maintains proper appearance and supply levels for all practice areas
- services golfers while practicing
- anticipates and complies with members and guest needs while using learning center and monitors first tee as needed
- operates ball picker on range to retrieve balls
- sorts and washes range balls
- removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room
- returns golf carts to cart shelter, removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, and other debris from golf carts and saves reusable items
- checks carts for damage, washes golf cart with pressure cleaner, parks cart in shelter and connects charger cable
- advises Pro Shop of items found on the course destined for lost and found
- cleans all clubs for members and guests
- cleans and maintains club's rental equipment
- provides on course player assistance as needed
- maintains security, cleanliness, and order of all golf equipment in storage
- tows cart to maintenance facility when cart breaks down, assisting in maintenance and repair when necessary
- performs golf club repair as needed
- performs other appropriate tasks as assigned including golf shop coverage and assistance
