Job Requirements

At least 18 years of age
valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record
ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently
ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, lift, and grasp for extended periods
ability to sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes
basic math skills
ability to follow safety guidelines
no unauthorized climbing of ladders over 8 feet
no roof or attic access

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
one to three months related experience and/or training
basic knowledge of golf course procedures
valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record
ability to physically lift and carry golf balls and range ball cases
ability to operate golf carts
present a positive, professional image
self-motivated and customer service oriented
strong interpersonal and communication skills
reliable and predictable attendance
skilled in safety practices and recognizing hazards

Job Duties

Treat all members, guests, and employees with respect
maintain friendly appearance
greet members and guests by name and with a smile
ensure clothing is clean, pressed, and in good condition and overall attire meets dress code guidelines
maintain cleanliness of work area
keep supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters
notify management if replacement is needed
maintain a clean and safe working environment
assist in training colleagues in safety techniques
set stations with balls at the practice range
maintain cleanliness of range throughout the day
send members to putting green before tee time
clean golf clubs
assist members with carrying clubs from range to cart
pick up and break down range
stage golf carts with golf bags
maintain staging and practice area setup
receive members at end of round and report finish time
maintain golf carts and cart barn
carry out starting and marshal duties
bring customer golf bags to staging area
park and retrieve vehicles for valet
load and unload golf bags in/out of vehicles
review golf course rules as starter
inform members of unusual course conditions
communicate with staff to ensure scheduled tee times
record fee structure and transportation
submit completed tee sheet to golf shop
monitor play on golf course focusing on pace
recommend solutions for on-course issues
report play situation to golf shop
repair ball marks and fix divots
check and restock water and ice stations
deliver messages on course
perform other assigned duties
