Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in golf or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work 40-45 hours weekly during the seasonal period
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds daily
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Proficiency in computer operations and POS systems
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to work under supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the golf course or club industry is preferred
  • Completed or enrolled in an accredited hospitality or PGM program
  • Previous golf management software and POS system experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to work productively at a desk and computer for 6-8 hours a day

Job Duties

  • Greet all overnight guests and assist with luggage and valet service
  • Greet all golfing guests and assist with golf bags, caddies, directions and parking
  • Manage the practice facility and the Drumlin putting course
  • Move and track luggage for overnight guests arriving and departing
  • Stock and maintain the locker rooms on property
  • Prepare guests luggage, golf clubs, and vehicles for departure
  • Perform all other tasks defined in golf operations handbook and by manager on duty
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with reservations, confirmations, room need requests, and questions
  • Understand and communicate the history, products, and services of the golf course
  • Sell, process, and confirm room reservations using selling techniques and strategies
  • Answer incoming calls within three rings with appropriate greeting
  • Maintain knowledge of current course events, activities, hours of operation, and dining options
  • Register all daily golf guests and provide all facility information
  • Function as a working member of the golf shop staff
  • Manage tee sheet, POS, and all other computer functions
  • Sell merchandise and be educated in merchandise sales techniques and products
  • Greet guests warmly and perform registration procedures
  • Provide guests with room assignments, room keys, directions, and upsell when appropriate
  • Assist guests with issues and complaints with empathy and a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Use supervisor support when necessary
