Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- ability to travel to various locations in a timely manner as job requires
- knowledge of basic food preparation and food arrangement
- understanding of sanitary cleaning and kitchen safety procedures
- skill in operating kitchen equipment safely and lawfully
- ability to communicate effectively with the public and coworkers
- capability to manage multiple competing tasks
- physical ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules
- adherence to Public Health Regulations and local liquor laws
- willingness to work special events and banquets
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- no prior food service experience necessary
- additional schooling or training in food service, preparation, or customer relations highly desirable
- knowledge of city policies, food preparation and arrangement, sanitary kitchen cleaning, kitchen appliance operation, effective customer service principles, Public Health Regulations, and liquor laws
- skill in food preparation and safe equipment operation
- ability to plan and prepare foods efficiently
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to provide quality customer service and work in fast-paced environments
- ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and the public
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to customers and members
- cook and prepare all foods using established recipes
- prepare daily specials and special events foods as needed
- operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen appliances
- maintain portion control, food quality, and presentation
- control spoilage and waste
- maintain sanitary health practices in food preparation
- wash dishes and assist in cleaning tables and bar counter
- sweep and mop the kitchen
- keep equipment, kitchen, food prep areas, and storage areas clean
- properly rotate foods in stock
- adhere to Public Health Regulations
- receive, stock, and rotate deliveries in the kitchen
- report hazards and maintenance needs
- work special events and banquets
- work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- perform other duties as assigned
