Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
- ability to climb ladders
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions
- ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
- ability to handle cash register operations accurately
- good communication skills
- ability to follow multi-step processes
- willingness to engage with guests and teammates
- ability to learn and execute store procedures
- compliance with safety policies and ethical standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- ability to operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- capable of maintaining focus and composure in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of retail business fundamentals is a plus
- certification to operate power equipment is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
- execute daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs
- operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
- execute processes including pricing changes, merchandise set-up, maintenance, and inventory accuracy
- learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, profitability, and product availability
- be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to improve guest experience
- demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- work safely while complying with safety policies and reporting hazards
- support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes
- perform all other duties based on business needs
