Job Requirements
- High school diploma or state-issued equivalent required
- 2-5 years of related job-relevant experience
- Must be authorized to live and work in the United States
- Must be able to participate in DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program
- Ability to sit in confined spaces for 4-6 hours with limited breaks
- Ability to stand for extended periods up to 10 hours with limited breaks
- Physical dexterity for hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or college degree preferred
- High school diploma or state-issued equivalent required
- 2-5 years of related job-relevant experience
- Previous experience teaching or training others preferred
- Proven customer service orientation
- Authorized to live and work in the United States
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs
- Ability to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program
- Existing instructor qualification or type rating preferred
- Hold or have held a professional pilot's license
- FAR Part 135 experience preferred
- 3,000 hours of total flight time preferred
- Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating preferred
Job Duties
- Deliver flight training in a flight simulator and ground school according to regulatory and CAE-approved curriculum
- Act as a subject matter expert to lead clients through their training
- Provide simulator, flight, or classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, and pilot qualifications
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-flight simulator briefings following CAE standards
- Complete required administrative duties such as maintaining training records and recommending remedial training
- Participate in curriculum and courseware development as a subject matter expert
- Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator and contract check airman after 1.5 years as needed
