Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in construction or industrial maintenance preferred
- ability to operate heavy machinery
- willingness to work overtime and flexible hours
- physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor environments
- adherence to safety protocols and standards
- basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand tools required
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred
- knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred
- must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance
- flexibility to work overtime and extended hours
- ability to work outside in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud noises
Job Duties
- promote safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards
- perform general physical activities including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials
- assist in repairing and maintaining plant equipment
- inspect equipment and structures daily for safety and reliability
- operate heavy construction equipment and cleanup loaders to support plant operations
- assist co-workers in equipment servicing and adjustment
- perform other duties as assigned
