Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years general services related work experience
- Two years real estate experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to supervise and evaluate staff
- Knowledge of FS 255 and FS 287 leasing and purchasing statutes
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and project management software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently and make decisions
- Experience in handling lease documentation and budget management
- Ability to coordinate complex leasing projects and emergency responses
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of general services related work experience
- Two years of real estate experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and property management principles
- Understanding of Florida leasing and purchasing rules and regulations
- Skilled in employee supervision and team leadership
- Proficient in project management applications and report generation
- Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels
- Preferred qualifications include experience with building maintenance, fixed capital outlay funding, project management, State of Florida Certified Contracts Manager, Florida Real Estate License, state procurement experience, and customer service experience
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise a team of leasing professionals
- Oversee agency facility leasing program including planning, procurement, contracting, and lease management
- Communicate, motivate, train, and evaluate employees in the leasing unit
- Maintain compliance with Florida Statute 255 and Department of Management Services policies
- Coordinate lease documentation review, approval, and execution processes
- Manage lease payment systems and budget projections to ensure timely payments and budget accuracy
- Facilitate the Facility Leasing Action Committee (FLAC) and oversee project management of lease strategies and related renovations
- Handle tenant broker commission tracking and payments
- Collaborate with agency leadership and external partners to support operational facility needs
- Assist in emergency management planning for facility availability and safety
- Prepare annual lease cost reports and coordinate lease cost forecasting with budget teams
- Manage procurement activities in compliance with Florida purchasing statutes
- Maintain lease data and perform system reporting including GASB 87, CARS, SOLARIS, and DMS annual data requirements
