Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • experience in conference or meeting services preferred
  • experience in light building, plumbing, or grounds maintenance preferred
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • proven strong customer service skills
  • proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • ability to provide and manage basic building, plumbing, and ground maintenance
  • basic knowledge of USPS and commercial courier regulations
  • ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • ability to adapt quickly to change
  • self-motivated and able to work with little to no daily direction
  • able to multi-task various job assignments
  • available for weekend and evening work
  • must pass preemployment physical

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate meeting space setups for meetings and provide AV assistance
  • assist with corporate events as needed
  • perform light building maintenance including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, ceiling tiles, and hanging pictures
  • conduct light janitorial and ground maintenance tasks
  • report escalated facility issues into the Archibus system
  • lift, move, and set up heavy objects without assistance
  • handle mail services including sorting, delivering, and tracking incoming/outgoing mail and packages
  • serve as backup for the on-site Facility Response Coordinator
  • ensure monthly and annual SPCC documentation and reporting compliance
  • monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain AV equipment in assembly and conference rooms
  • prepare the facility for storm events and support Emergency Operations Center activities
  • support General Services at other MPC locations as needed
  • provide backup for other GS Facilities Specialists and Mail Courier positions
  • aid guests, caterers, and meeting organizers based on event needs
  • perform other duties as assigned
