Job Requirements

  • MA or MS degree or BA or BS degree with business-related major
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of management experience in food-related or concessions industry
  • Must have Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires (preferred)
  • Must possess nationally recognized advanced food service sanitation training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions quickly under pressure
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, POS and timekeeping systems
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of all concession and premium services locations and evacuation procedures
  • Must have valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required
  • Knowledge of sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service, safety standards
  • Ability to do complex math
  • Cash handling skills
  • Consistent adherence to high integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in unionized environment
  • Preferred experience in ball park or stadium
  • Accounting knowledge is a plus

  • Thorough knowledge of concessions and premium services locations including geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access
  • Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit (if required)
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service policies and safety standards related to Oak View Group and venue operations
  • Ability to calculate basic and complex math functions
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Experience in fast-paced ball park or stadium preferred
  • Accounting minor or credits preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the assigned venue
  • Generate and review financial reports including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, P and L financial statements
  • Make final decisions on equipment purchases and leases
  • Resolve conflicts including mediation, arbitration and labor negotiations when applicable
  • Author, review and amend policies and procedures as required
  • Author and amend contracts and authorize terms
  • Oversee scheduling and labor allocation
  • Analyze ticket sales to anticipate staffing needs and determine point-of-sale to guest ratio
  • Evaluate recent sales and purchasing data to identify purchasing patterns and accurate cost of goods
  • Program and maintain the point of sale system for accurate financial reporting and commodity tracking
  • Direct and assist managers in preparing and attaining future goals
  • Provide managers with direction and follow up on assignments
  • Inspect operations regularly to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on time, ensuring departmental compliance
  • Develop an effective management team
  • Give managers clear direction and necessary assistance
  • Evaluate manager performance and recommend improvements
  • Review and assist in the development of menus and marketing plans
  • Establish and maintain relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public
