Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage stressful situations effectively
- Knowledge of food safety procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with restaurant software and point of sale systems
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a manager in a high-volume restaurant
- Ability to work in both back of house and front of house
- Ability to command successful shifts through challenging situations
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to make quick, correct, and meaningful decisions in stressful situations
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, Toast POS)
Job Duties
- Enforcing compliance with all employment policies
- Directing work of the management team, including setting weekly management schedules, and assigning areas of responsibility to Restaurant Managers
- Managing the performance of the management team, including conducting weekly management directionals, performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring management and hourly employees
- Providing ultimate oversight over all food, labor, and liquor costs
- Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling labor costs
- Managing weekly and monthly P&L
- Planning, preparing, and overseeing weekly, monthly, and yearly inventories and budgets
- Verifying daily Taste & Temp, and training standards are being maintained
- Overseeing the cleanliness of the restaurant
- Enforcing appropriate security measures at the restaurant so that the safety of our employees and guests are maintained at all times
- Overseeing incentive programs for management and hourly staff members
- Overseeing the development of full-time and part-time managers including training in employment policies and practices
- Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food-handling procedures
- Maintaining the positive culture of the restaurant and promoting respect
