Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years single-unit management experience in retail or food and beverage industries
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Food safety and handling certifications preferred or ability to obtain
- Ability to climb ladders and perform physical tasks including standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, and lifting up to 55 pounds
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Regular and predictable in-person attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years single-unit management experience in retail or food and beverage industries
- Experience with PeopleMatter, Workday, Reflexis, PDI, ESO applications preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of guest service principles and food safety procedures
- Ability to train, develop and motivate team members
- Proven problem-solving skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Commitment to upholding safety and cleanliness standards
Job Duties
- Drive a safety culture by ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for all team members and guests
- Create a welcoming and inclusive place for both guests and team members
- Oversee daily execution of the Store Operating System through management of game plans to deliver a consistent guest and brand experience
- Grow top line profit and loss performance while controlling key financial lines and correcting budget variances
- Track and manage inventory through accurate counts and ordering to maintain stock
- Delegate tasks to team members and ensure proper completion
- Engage and lead company initiatives to promote store success
- Oversee food production to consistently meet food safety standards and maintain inventory par levels
- Develop and train team members following Thorntons' training processes
- Recruit, hire, schedule and coach team members ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Handle guest service issues effectively through training and empowerment of team members
- Communicate positively with team members to motivate and inspire them
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including inspections and record keeping
- Promote sales and profits by partnering with and supporting local community events
- Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
