Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 7 years in retail leadership or related industry
- strong knowledge of retail operations and sales strategies
- proficiency with MS Office applications
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to motivate and lead diverse teams
- capacity to manage inventory and operational standards
- flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform store duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
- commitment to embodying company mission and values
Job Qualifications
- 7+ years of retail or related industry leadership experience
- working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- highly motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- business owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
- independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
- aligns with and embodies ALO's Guiding Principles
- approves constant movement in and around all areas of store
- ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
- ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
- ability to stand and move for an entire shift
Job Duties
- Develop and execute the brand's retail strategies
- leverage local market knowledge of clientele base and brand competitors
- demonstrate strong business acumen through KPIs to develop and support business driving strategies
- lead team by leveraging company tools, incentives and strategies to support meeting sales goals
- ensure store team communicates ALO's mission and principles effectively
- foster an environment of growth, accountability and inclusivity through development, performance management and coaching
- conduct ongoing talent analysis and establish career progression plans
- establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy
- partner with Operations and Visual Manager to maximize inventory accuracy and replenishment
- oversee execution of key operational and visual guidelines
- champion strong visual standards on the sales floor
- support a safe work environment and efficient operations
- develop schedules that deliver business results while maintaining labor effectiveness
- collaborate with cross-functional business partners to support organizational goals
- act as an ALO ambassador and create a culture aligned with the mission
- implement effective communication strategies throughout the store to achieve goals and KPIs
